Next week, on the third Monday of January, we will honor the life and dreams of Martin Luther King Jr. Through peaceful activism, Martin Luther King Jr. played a key role in the civil rights movement. January 18th can be a great day to give back to your community. Think of Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a “day on” rather than a “day off”. On this day, doing a small act of kindness, such as paying for the person behind you at a coffee shop or complimenting a stranger can be a simple, yet powerful way to give back that could resonate with someone for the whole day or even week. Monday, January 18th is a day to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. and all he did for the United States.
